Positivity: Step into Action

Once you have decided to get serious about your business or any change in your life, it is time to step into action. This is easier said than done you might think, but it is not difficult if you set the stage right.

Detoxify your life of things that are holding you back. We only have a certain amount of energy and that energy gets pulled into many directions. As a result, we only make little progress in a million directions. Focus only on the things that matter most. Control your choices and ask yourself: “Am I investing in the right activities?” Learn to distinguish the vital few from the trivial many.

Network Marketing is a profession. Don’t treat it like a hobby, it’s a business (full time as well as part-time). Every business needs a business plan or action plan. Write down your goals and then work backwards. Break them down into smaller goals and work out what is required to achieve them.

Find a mentor. A mentor can be anyone or anything, even your calendar or a journal. The main purpose of a mentor is to keep you on track, to stay focused and be accountable to. You need to put in the time, effort and dedication. Think about a piano player, how many hours he has to put in to be able to play a symphony – no one can do it for him.

As Marketers, we educate people. We inspire them with our story. We are giving people hope that they too can make a difference to their lives. In other words, we are the product. The business we represent is only the vehicle, the tool we are using.

We are the product and we need to work on ourselves. What if we only improve a fraction every day? If we only improve 0.3% every day, we have improved 100% by the end of the year. Think about it as if you are reading a book. You may think “what, I don’t have time to read” but do you think you could squeeze in and read only 3-5 pages a day? Guess what, by the end of the year, you’ll have read about 5-10 books!
